With/Without is a game-based Community-Led Housing (CLH) platform which automates the mass negotiation of participatory design intent. The design input of thousands of users gets automatically processed into a functioning building. The design game kit augments the negotiation between designers and future homeowners by using a computer vision application that uploads every user’s physical typological input in a digital master model. Subsequently, an AI negotiator analyses every input that is uploaded in the database and creates the building assembly through a constraint solving algorithm that reflects every inhabitant’s desires. Lastly, a cable robot automates the construction of the assembly by compiling discrete timber building blocks into the desired living spaces. The result is a modular and scalable system that creates customized and unique spaces with generic parts.



The game physically registers the spacial demand for housing as well as a rough typological input.


The game kit , the physical model the manual process is giving relevance to the labour and intent of an individual, this must become the basis for an incorruptible identity that must distinguish the domestic use from the speculative use.








As a scale model Our cable robot uses blocks that are sourced from external  inputs, they represent the crowd source aspect of our platform that’s carried out by the game. Once generated an inventory, In Assembling these individual “chunks” into a collective model, the robot manifests the mediating hand of the negotiator App.
